What is a backup solution?
In a nutshell, when our business depends on information contained in documents or databases and the loss of these would be harmful to the company, it is then that a backup solution, in the cloud for example, can be implemented. This very often consists of renting a certain capacity to record your data, usually expressed in GO, and providing you with a web administration interface to configure, among other things, the manner and recurrence of backups in the cloud and avoiding the need to install a backup server yourself. The advantage is to have a backup physically separate from your premises, but nevertheless kept on Swiss soil, thanks to the various local datacenters (Lausanne, Zurich, Geneva etc.) and administered largely by your service provider, making data recovery simple and fast in case of problems. The range of possibilities offered by cloud backups is wide, from simply hosting your documents in the cloud to a full backup of a server with virtual restart in the event of a physical failure.
