What is housing and colocation?
Housing offers allow you to rent a physical location in a secure datacenter, usually managed by a hosting provider, to install your server(s). The advantage is that the servers are then in an air-conditioned and secure environment with guaranteed and redundant access to power and the Internet. In practice, your service provider will also provide you with a rack (a server cabinet) in which your IT equipment (server, switch, etc.) will be installed. It is up to you to decide the number of U, often expressed as a fraction of a Bay. Example: 1/4 Bay or 1/3 Bay. This Housing solution is therefore perfect if you have your own server that you want to manage yourself while avoiding hosting it at home or in your company or it would then be subject to much higher risks of breakdowns and various accidents.
